Hot pressing of Ho2O3 and Dy2O3 based magneto-optical ceramics

چکیده

The paper presents results of a research on fabrication magneto-optical ceramics based Ho 2 O 3 and Dy sesquioxides. were made by hot pressing powders prepared self-propagating high-temperature synthesis. methods modes the powder treatment developed it possible to significantly increase thickness without deterioration in optical quality comparison with samples obtained vacuum sintering. characteristics ceramics, such as transmission spectrum, thermal conductivity, linear expansion coefficient, microhardness, elastic modulus, crack resistance have been investigated. • Ceramics holmium dysprosium oxides are produced HPing. 5% mol. La is used sintering aid improving ceramics. Thermal expansion, modulus elasticity, studied. transmittance (Ho 0.95 0.05 ) (Dy 0.7 Y 0·25 4.5 mm thick 78% 72% at ?m.
